The program aims to reach out to the elderly especially from underserved and rural communities by providing free access to eye checkups and cataract surgeries. Implemented through Bosch India Foundation and in association with LAICO (Lions Aravind Institute of Community Ophthalmology), the project was initiated in 2020.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant Project for Safe and Clean Drinking Water
Millions in India face a severe risk of fluorosis due to contaminated drinking water. Bosch, in collaboration with Bosch India Foundation, has addressed this issue in Jaipur by installing 33 RO Plants over the past 15 years. These plants provide safe drinking water, particularly in areas with high fluoride content in groundwater, mitigating the risk of the crippling bone disease.

Akshaya Patra Mid-Day Meals Program for children
The nutritional initiative, in association with Akshaya Patra, is an ambitious project and a key component of our social engagement program. It involved setting up a centralized kitchen for preparing 30,000 mid-day meals that would benefit the needy children who are studying in the government schools. Ensuring good health for children will lead to proper education and access to better opportunities, and thus help them break the cycle of generational poverty and focus more on education.

Bosch is addressing the crucial need for healthcare in remote Indian villages by upgrading Primary Health Centers (PHCs). This initiative involves renovating infrastructure, supplying medical equipment, implementing sanitation and waste management solutions. A standardized operating procedure will streamline operations, with software installation enhancing patient data management and overall efficiency. This ensures improved accountability, quality assurance, patient safety with standard guidelines.

Mobile Medical Units
Bosch, in collaboration with Smile Foundation through Bosch India Foundation, addresses healthcare challenges in India's remote areas with the Mobile Medical Unit program. The initiative aims to provide top-tier healthcare services, focusing on general OPD, mother and child health, and healthcare worker training. Deploying Mobile Medical Units in targeted locations like Jaipur, Chennai, and Nashik ensures accessible and affordable healthcare for underprivileged communities.
