In India, Bosch is a leading supplier of technology and services in the areas of Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. Additionally, Bosch has, in India, the largest development center outside Germany, for end to end engineering and technology solutions.
The Bosch Group operates in India through thirteen companies, viz, Bosch Limited, Bosch Chassis Systems India Private Limited, Bosch Rexroth (India) Private Limited, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Private Limited, Bosch Automotive Electronics India Private Limited, Bosch Electrical Drives India Private Limited, BSH Home Appliances Private Limited, ETAS Automotive India Private Limited, Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Private Limited, Automobility Services and Solutions Private Limited, Newtech Filter India Private Limited and Mivin Engg.Technologies Private Limited and Precision Seals Manufacturing Limited. The Group in India has close to 18,000 research and development associates. In India, Bosch Limited is the flagship company of the Bosch Group. It earned revenue of over ₨. 10,842 crores (1.47 billion euros) in 2017.

Soumitra Bhattacharya has been associated with the Bosch Group for more than 24 years. A Chartered Accountant by profession, over the years he has handled roles as varied as Vice President, Commercial Functions for the Nashik and Jaipur plants of Bosch in India and also served as the General Manager of Robert Bosch GmbH’s Feuerbach Plant, the company’s largest diesel systems manufacturing facility and one of its oldest.
He was the CFO of Bosch India from 2011 till 2018 and, in 2016, took over the CEO role as well. He is currently the Managing Director of Bosch Limited and the President of Bosch Group in India. As Managing Director of Bosch Limited, he handles a unique role heading the only publicly listed company in the Bosch Group worldwide.
A firm believer in collaboration and the importance of teamwork in building innovative, future-ready organizations, Soumitra is currently spearheading a transformative initiative at Bosch India to ensure the organization becomes a leading provider of IoT solutions while leveraging its unrivalled expertise in operational and manufacturing excellence. The ultimate aim of this transformation initiative, named Lakshya, is to make Bosch India a tech agnostic provider of holistic solutions that are affordable and India-specific innovations.
Soumitra has a keen interest in start-ups and new businesses – prior to Bosch, he had worked at the TATA group where he was the founding member of the Tanishq brand for the Titan Company Ltd. He also worked at INDAL, the core aluminum business of the ALCAN group, and he was also a founding member of its electronics business.
Cross-cultural exchange and international relations between Europe and Asia have been areas where Soumitra has an active interest. He has been able to contribute positively to building stronger commercial ties between Europe and India when serving in executive management positions at Bosch’s facilities in Germany and Turkey.
During his stints as Chairman (2013-2014) for the Karnataka State Council for CII in India (Confederation of Indian Industry) and as current Co-Chair for Skills Committee-CII at the National Level and as a CII National Council Member, Soumitra has been able to further share his passion for business excellence, building agile corporate environments, economics and finance. He has also spoken and given lectures on these and other topics at some of the world’s leading management institutions and business forums.
He is married to Dr. (Mrs.) Chandana Bhattacharya who runs her own NGO. His son Aditya works in the US while his daughter Ayesha is embarking on a legal career. Outside of work, his interests include travelling, sports, photography and social service.

Dr. Wolf, born on 16th June 1962 in Plauen/Vogtl., Germany, is the Mechanical engineering degree and PhD holder from Technical University Dresden.
He has been working for Bosch for 24 years.
Dr. Wolf started his career in Bosch as process engineer in Corporate Research and Development. During these 24 years of association, he has worked in several management positions mainly in Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, Project Management and Corporate functions as well. He has varied experience in the divisions CR (Corporate Research and Development), DS (Diesel Systems), GS (Gasoline Systems), ATMo (Special machinery) and DC (Drive and Control systems).
Dr. Wolf was also in the Czech Republic for 3 years and in Turkey for 7 years. His last position was Senior Vice President and Technical Plant Manager in Feuerbach/Germany. He was the IPN (International Production Network)-leader for “Common Rail pumps”.

Jan O. Röhrl, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Director of Bosch Limited, has been associated with the Bosch Group since 1998.
As CTO of Bosch Limited, he is responsible for research and development in mobility solutions that include fuel injection equipment, sensors, actuators, after-treatment solutions for internal combustion engines, connectivity solutions and electrification.
In the past four years he has served as a Senior Vice President within Robert Bosch Diesel Systems. During that time, he also headed the product area of Large Engines at Diesel Systems, while being responsible for product management, engineering, sales and project management, production and purchasing.

Background
Born in 1971 in Heidelberg, Germany, Mr. Röhrl graduated in 1998 as a mechanical engineer from the Karlsruhe Technical University (today KIT). He also holds a diploma as a mechanical engineer from Grande Ecole ENSAM (Bordeaux, Paris).

Mr. S C Srinivasan (Srini Srinivasan), Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, joined Bosch Limited in February 2017. He is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience in Corporate strategy, Treasury, Mergers & Acquisition, Investor Relations, Business CFO, Supply chain finance and operational excellence, Business & functional transformation, Leadership and talent management. He has worked in India, Singapore, United Kingdom and Germany. He is well experienced in leading large multicultural and multi-location teams.
Prior to joining Bosch he was associated with the Unilever group, in India as well as overseas, for 27 years. Srini Srinivasan joined Unilever group in 1989 and served in various capacities as Factory Accountant, Management Accountant - Beverages, Sales Commercial Manager - East, Corporate Accountant and Commercial Manager Exports in the Foods business until 1998. He was seconded to Unilever, London as Group Financial Accountant and then as Strategic Analyst – Corporate Strategy Group between 1998 and 2002. Returning to India in mid-2002, he was Commercial Manager – Home and Personal Care business, Chief Buyer, Vice President Treasury, M&A and Investor Relations between 2002 and 2010. He was seconded to Unilever between 2011 and 2016 as Vice President Supply Chain Finance - Asia, Africa, Middle East, Turkey & Russia and later as Vice President- Business & Finance Services.
Srini Srinivasan has keen interest in education for under privileged, especially in remote areas. He is the co-founder of Golden Mile Learning, a NGO implementing e-learning and sustainable development in high altitude areas in Ladakh. Started in 2013, the digital learning project now covers 25 schools benefitting more than 5,000 children.
