Lake Rejuvenations
Bosch has been actively involved in rejuvenating various water bodies over the years, in addition to its commitment to water conservation. One such example is the story of Shanumangala Lake near Bidadi plant, where Bosch started rejuvenation activities in 2017. The efforts encompassed activities such as clearing weeds and shrubby vegetation in the lakebed, desilting, fencing, treating catchment areas, strengthening bunds, creating islands, forming embankments, diverting effluents, constructing cattle troughs and culverts, widening bunds, planting trees, and de-weeding. Bosch has successfully replicated this model at Sheshagirihalli Lake in Bidadi.

Pond Rejuvenation
In addition to the rejuvenation efforts, Bosch has also restored a pond in Thondankulam village, situated in the Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. The desilted pond area spans 900 meters, featuring the construction of 3 box culverts serving as mini check dams, providing substantial benefits to numerous farmers.

Renovation of Percolation Tanks & Check Dams
In 2016, Bosch India Foundation initiated the renovation of waterbodies (percolation tanks and check dams) in Nashik, Maharashtra, in response to the 'JALAYUKTA SHIVAR' scheme of Government of Maharashtra. Focused on alleviating water scarcity, Bosch renovated 15+ waterbodies, benefitting numerous individuals in Nashik's challenging terrains with low groundwater levels.

Afforestation
Bosch actively engages in environmental sustainability through agroforestry projects in Bidadi, afforestation projects in Nashik, Jaipur and a Mini Forest creation project in Ambakkam region, Tamil Nadu. Collaborating with Forest Departments, NGOs, and the Central Reserve Police Force and local communities, Bosch aims for carbon neutrality, enhancing participation from local communities and addressing climate change. The planted saplings/trees play a vital role in absorbing CO2, contributing to lowered carbon footprints.
